INDIA – beyond North East Golden Triangle Tour: This is a most famous tourist circuit of India, connecting three most important tourist attractions of the nation- New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. The Golden Triangle is so named because of the triangular shape formed by their locations on a map. Jaipur is also known as the Pink City, due to the dominant colour scheme of its buildings. It is also known as the Paris of India It evokes the royal family that once ruled the region and that, in 1727, founded what is now called the Old City, or “Pink City” for its trademark building color. Mysore: Mysore (or Mysuru), a city in India’s southwestern Karnataka state, was the capital of the Kingdom of Mysore from 1399 to 1947. In its center is opulent Mysore Palace, seat of the former ruling Wodeyar dynasty. The palace blends Hindu, Islamic, Gothic and Rajput styles. Mysore is also home to the centuries-old Devaraja Market, filled with spices, silk and sandalwood. Bangalore: Bengaluru (also called Bangalore) is the capital of India’s southern Karnataka state. Pondicherry, Vizag : Pondicherry (or Puducherry), a French colonial settlement in India until 1954, is now a Union Territory town bounded by the southeastern Tamil Nadu state. Its French legacy is preserved in its French Quarter, with tree-lined streets, mustard-colored colonial villas and chic boutiques. A seaside promenade runs along the Bay of Bengal and passes several statues, including a 4m-high Gandhi Memorial.Pondicherry is known for Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville attracting thousands of tourists to explore this beautiful city. Vizag or Vishakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam is a port city and industrial center in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, on the Bay of Bengal. It’s known for its many beaches, including Ramakrishna Beach, home to a preserved submarine at the Kursura Submarine Museum. Nearby are the elaborate Kali Temple and the Visakha Museum, an old Dutch bungalow housing local maritime and historical exhibits. Visakhapatnam, also commonly known as Vizag, is one of the oldest port cities in the country. Puri , Konark: Puri: Puri is a coastal city and a municipality in the state of Odisha in eastern India. It is the district headquarters of Puri district and is situated on the Bay of Bengal, 60 kilometres south of the state capital of Bhubaneswar. Puri is the site of the Shree Jagannatha Temple, one of the four cardinal institutions established by Adi Shankaracharya, when he visited Puri in 810 AD, and since then it has become an important dham (divine centre) for the Hindus; the others being those at Sringeri, Dwarka and Jyotirmath. In Puri Jagannatha Ratha Yatra and its related festivals are the most important which are attended by millions of people every year. Konark: Konark is a medium town in the Puri district in the state of Odisha, India. It lies on the coast by the Bay of Bengal, 65 kilometres from the capital of the state, Bhubaneswar. It is the site of the 13th-century Sun Temple, also known as the Black Pagoda, built in black granite during the reign of Narasinghadeva-I. The name Konarka is derived from the Sanskrit word Kona (meaning angle) and word Arka (meaning sun) in reference to the temple which was dedicated to the Sun god Surya. Maharastra and Gujarat: Both states in the western peninsular region of India occupying a substantial portion of the Deccan Plateau. Maharashtra: Maharashtra is the second-most populous state in India and the third-most populous country subdivision globally. Mumbai, capital of Maharastra is also known as financial capital of India. Maharashtra, as a state of the Indian union is one of India’s largest commercial and industrial centres, which has led to its being called the gateway of India. Maharashtra is also famous for its culture and beauty. The ancient cave paintings found at Ajanta and Ellora are UNESCO World Heritage sites and popular tourist destinations. Shirdi is situated here. It’s known as the former home of revered spiritual leader Sai Baba, and as a major pilgrimage site. Gujarat: Gujarat is a state along the western coast of India. Its coastline of about 1,600 km is the longest in the country, most of which lies on the Kathiawar peninsula. Gujarat is the fifth-largest Indian state by area, covering some 196,024 km²; and the ninth-most populous state, with a population of 60.4 million. Gujarat is the land of rich handicrafts like Patola weaving, khadi, bandhani, block printing, embroidery, namda, rogan painting, matani pachhedi, woodcrafts, metal crafts, bamboo crafts, pithora, pottery and many more handicrafts. Gujarat celebrates all regional fairs and festivals with great fervor and spirits. Gir National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary: It also known as Sasan Gir, is a forest, national park, and wildlife sanctuary is home of Asiatic Lion.
